Behind the Design

Hi, I'm Daniele, a Senior Product Designer and Frontend Developer based in Rome.

My path into digital wasn't exactly straight. I started from an Aeronautical Technical Institute, detoured through Forestry Science, and somewhere along the way discovered that what I actually liked was designing systems, not studying them. In 2014 I co-founded ByTek, where I spent a decade growing from web designer to the person who covers the full cycle from UX strategy to frontend implementation in React and Next.js.

That hybrid profile is what defines my work today. I can take a product from brief to shipped without losing coherence between the design decisions and how they actually get built, and that's what I bring to the teams and companies I work with. I also teach UI Design, Digital Marketing and Data Visualization tools in two master's programs, which keeps me honest about what I explain and why.

Outside of work, I'm drawn to anything that requires sustained effort and presence: climbing, running, scouting, time outdoors with my two Maremma sheepdogs. And if you're wondering, yes, I genuinely dislike Christmas.
